Position Summary

This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for all Team Relations activities. The Assistant Manager is responsible for the following: (1) Ensure Company policies and procedures are carried out consistently to achieve business goals and objectives, (2) minimize risk to company by managing employee morale for maximum employee engagement and (3) comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws. This position will lead various Team Relations objectives through meeting defined Team Relations KPI goals.

Essential Functions

_ Adheres to the Company policies and procedures

_ Learns, demonstrates and upholds company Core Values

_ Complies with all company Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety OHSAS 18001 policies and procedures

_ Treats all company team members with respect and professional courtesy

_ Always strives to maintain a positive work environment

_ Manages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budget

_ Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management


_ Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

_ Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment

_ Meets company safety goals


_ Responsible for TR KPI reporting to HR Manager

_ Plans coordinates and manages company sponsored events

_ Administers Vehicle Purchase Program

_ Responsible for positive employee relations initiatives

_ Manages termination process.

_ Manages company attendance point program

_ Manages internal company communication

_ Manages any internal survey activity

_ Manages the company Walk Around program

_ Responsible for leadership Guidebook training

_ Leads the weekly CEO Team Relations meeting


_ Manages adherence to the Guidebook, policies & procedures

_ Manages Team Relations Activities

_ Creates a safe environment for employee comments

_ Ensures accurate attendance reporting

_ Proactively identifies employee issues and responds appropriately

_ Manages hourly and salary Progressive Discipline process

_ Manage company attendance point program

_ Manages the company termination approval process

_ Investigation Process

_ Manage various legal responsibilities

_ Develop or source Team Relations Training as required / requested


_ Develop policy and procedures relevant to workforce

_ Change, modify or remove inefficient policy or procedures

_ Applies policy to employee issues

_ Ensures company policies are enforced


_ Vision & Guidance-Establishes and conveys future organizational direction, and manifests specific guidelines for vision achievement

_ Leading by Example-Sets example for fellow co-workers within field of work by demonstrating behaviors with

professionalism and responsibility

_ Decision Making-Analyzes current issues and identifies areas for improvement, and based on related information selects the best option through appropriate decision making process, taking full responsibility for resultant outcomes

_ Performance Management-Aligns individual and organizational goals, maximizing individual and organizational performance through objective evaluation

_ High School/GED

_ 4 Year Degree or comparable background of work related experience in human resources related discipline (preferred).

Position Requirements and Qualifications

_ 5 – 10 years job related experience within the same or similar industry preferred

Other Information

_ Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required.
